Alright so I've been trying to change the starting technologies and whenever I make the edits I want to it crashes when I try to start a grand campaign loading about one inch of the bar. I've been following this thread http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...g-technologies for assistance, specifically post #2. An example of what I've been trying to do was make Prussia start with the carbine tech by changing the second value from 2 to 0 and the third from 0 to 37. I've been working under the impression that the second value is whether they tech is researched, capable of being researched, or not yet re-searchable. The third is how much research points have been invested in it and I've been trying to use changing army carbines as a test since it has the same required tech points as plug bayonets which Prussia starts out with. Despite making it look the same as plug bayonets changing carbines causes the aforementioned crash. Also I've been using darthmod 8.1 along with Casua Belli so I've been editing the custom 4 turn per year startpos.esf. Also in case it matters I've been using the startpos.esf that is used for Rome 2 although I was under the impression that it's backwards cabable since PFM also is. And as far as I know both have been installed properly and I have never used any other mods with my ETW. I honestly have no clue what is wrong here and any help that could be offered would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the big block of test.
