Hi guys,
In RTW in these versions (and maybe earlier versions too?), you've probably often seen when you're attacking a unit face-to-face with multiple units and partly surrounding it, even those units at the back which do not appear to be in contact with the enemy unit are shown to be fighting with the little red crossed swords icon on the unit, even though they may be right at the back of the group of your units attacking the enemy. I think this is most noticeable when you're playing a bridge battle. It seems as though in some situations one unit cannot or will not pass through another, and even being at the back, they are said to be fighting.
Do you guys consider this a bug and do you expect to see it fixed in MTW2?
Also, I wonder how being at the back and yet still being involved in the fighting affects their attack and defence?
Another thing I saw in a bridge battle in 1.6 - I ordered my units to attack and all except the Velites walked over the bridge to cross the river and engage the enemy. But for some reason, even though I told them specifically to use the bridge, my Velites *insisted* on swimming the river. Anyone else seen this?
