    Default Crash on launch

Hi, I've just installed SS 6.3 and patched to 6.4. After running the setup script (tried with both early and late campaigns btw) and saying that I do not have a steam version of Kingdoms, the game opens, loads for about two seconds, and Crashes to desktop without an error message or anything. It's just gone. Win 8.1, haven't had trouble with any other Kingdoms mods. Halp?

Install outside of Program Files, then it should work

Outside of program files? For example to a folder on the desktop or something?

Yep, install into the Games file in the main drive, it and MTW2 must be in same drive

M2TW and Kingdoms must be in same directory AFAIK

You could create a new folder for games outside program files folder, like for ex. C:/Games/

Then when installing M2 and Kingdoms, you just replace "C:/Program Files (x86)/..." with "C:/Games/..."

Ok, thank you. Just not worth the trouble and hours to reinstall everything, including my other mods.

    time to uninstall and reinstall

this should be clear on the installation instructions (which I took the time to read)
