Planets

Praetorus: The largest of the planets in the Krak system, and home to the human population. It is here that the workforce for the great factories of Yefelgus is drawn from, thousands upon thousands of malnourished peasants striving for a better life. Trebanius: The smallest of the planets in the Krak system, but one of the three habitable ones. It if from here that House Mythers rules from, drawing their military personnel from the relatively small community growing in the shadow of the grand Militarus Palace. Yefelgus: It is on this barren rock that the naval weapons are built. Everyday, hundreds of overcrowded transporters bring volunteers to manufacture the weapons needed to defend the frontier. Udin: The last of the habitable planets, Udin is the base for the levy fleet of House Mythers, and the training ground for the legions which defend the system should invaders descend upon them. Bermaxai: Once a ball of volcanic rock, this asteroid belt was destroyed during one of the numerous battles which led to the rise of House Mythers. It is used as a training ground for the naval forces, and as a defense of Praetorus and Trebanius.

House Mythers of Trebanius

The Mythers Name: Kyra Mythers Age: 72 Traits: Charisma +3 Admiral +2 General +3 Administrator +4 Titles: Duke of Trebanius, Protector of Krak, Captain of VMS Sovereign, Grand Admiral of the Krak Defense Fleet, Commander-In-Chief of the Krak Defense Legions Bio:"A great conqueror makes a great ruler," Such words were uttered by Admiral Ermani of Bermaxai, Grand Duke of the Talloaks at the start of his rebellion against Kyra Mythers of Trebanius. Kyra Mythers had been twelve when her betrothed rebelled against her rule, intent on replacing her completely. While her foe had near-complete supremacy of space, the people of the planets remained loyal, and resisted Ermani's control. Showing abilities beyond her years, the parent-less Kyra led her ground forces in to a series of victories, repulsing Ermani's loyal infantry legions, before counter-attacking in space. With her victories on land, Kyra was able to sway Ermani's fleet to turn on him, causing him to flee to the volcanic planet of Mermaxai, which had been the location of his self-crowning as General-Duke of Krak. The orbital bombardment which followed lasted for years, and saw the planet crumble in to the asteroid belt of today. Afterwords, she had the last members of the Talloak family put to death, and went on to govern her lands without incident for near six decades. Name: Jason Mythers Age: 42 Traits: Administrator +4 Mercenary Contractor +1 Duelist +2 Counterspy +1 Titles: Count of the Trebanius plains, High Administrator of the Armory, Master of the Hunt, Captain of VMS Claws Retinue: Dueling Instructor Bio: The only child of Kyra, Jason grew up with his mother's ability to govern, although his military skill leaves much to be desired. He is named the Admiral of the Bermaxai Defense Flotilla, but he usually palms off the duties required to his only son. Instead, he acts as the envoy for his family, in the hopes that they can grow stronger, instead of declining in power. When he is not attempting to broker agreements with the nearby systems, he is enjoying the comforts of the aristocracy, with sword fighting a firm favorite. Name: Mychael Mythers Age: 21 Traits: Admiral +3 General +1 Martial Status: not married Titles: Captain of VMS Kingmaker, Admiral of the Bermaxai Heavy Patrol Fleet, General of the 3rd Armoured Legion Bio: The only son of Jason Mythers, Mychael is well aware that he is in line to ascend the throne over the Krak system. Instead of following his father's path of administrating, Mychael is in awe of his grandmother's exploits against Admiral Ermani, and hopes to one-day equal her prowess in battle. To this end, he fiercely argues for the naval forces of House Mythers to be increased, and for military service of all nobles to be compulsory. The other ruling nobles of the Krak system are usually set against him in this, but those who support the young man are regarded by Jason as the "Ruinous Powers of Ermani" Household (ATM: Fleet Captains) Name: Jason Vertus Age 57 Title: Captain of VMS Widow, Master of the Belt, Count of the Trebanius Deepwood Bio: His mother died fighting for Kyra during Ermani's rebellion, something which was not lost on the victorious noblewoman. She adopted him as her own, at the age of 15, when his father passed away during a fire. When he was old enough, Jason took up the duties ancestral to the Vertus family, and has thus been removed from the line of inheritance. Name: Amelia Wexercos Age 23 Title: Captain of VMS Formidable Bio: The youngest ever captain of a Heavy Cruiser of the Krak System, excluding Kyra, Amelia is a determined woman, intent on rivaling her liege-lord's exploits. Name: Rodrik Manno Age 71 Title: Captain of VMS Ironwill, High Warden of the Yefelgus naval works Bio: Buying his commission with the entirety of his impoverished family's wealth, Rodrik quickly showed that he had the makings of a fine naval officer. Now, however, his age has caused his abilities to worsen. Name: Denerik Fesco Age 43 Title: Captain of VMS Astral Projection, Defender of the Wastes of Praetorus Bio: Served for years as a mercenary, before returning to his homeland to defend his people. He was allowed to retain several of his mercenary comrades as fellow officers. Name: Sliver Vergo Age 38 Title: Captain of VMS Warpath Bio: One of Denerik's mercenary friends, Sliver was the first officer not related to one of the noble families of Krak to end up as captain of a capital ship. She is a hard woman, pushing her crew beyond anything others could endure. Name: Bextus Mythers Age 56 Title: Captain of VMS Mythers, Bearer of the People's Crest Bio: Kyra's second cousin, Bextus is of the cadet branch of House Mythers which are gifted the command of the VMS Mythers. He is unsuited to command, but propriety demands he fight as captain of a warship. Name: Reamus Mythers Age 30 Title: Captain of Kyra's Pain, Commander of the Palace Guardians Bio: Both distant cousin and brother-in-law to Kyra, Reamus grew up as a military man, distancing himself away from his more politically-orientated family. He has not spoken more than simple pleasantries with his sister-in-law in years. Name: Fergus of the Alummi Age 65 Title: Captain of Devil's Roar, Count of the Spires of Antiquity Bio: Having been brought up among a family of soldiers, Fergus was expected to join the Legions. His insistence on joining the navy, in which he has worked wonders, disappointed his parents until their deaths. Name: Paula Heestrus Age 51 Title: Captain of VMS Destructor, Count of the Southern Workfields Bio: The story goes that Paula loved her duties as Count of the Southern Workfields, disciplining the workforce on a daily basis, killing hundreds for minor infractions. However, her family, spearheaded by her new husband, forced her to join the navy, where her record of disciplinary actions has plummeted. Name: Bartholomew Glaborus Age 68 Title: Captain of VMS Stalward, Janitor of the Palace Walls Bio: Thought to have been nothing more than a love-child, Bartholomew's ascension through the ranks has been very low-key. Name: Yasha Uian Age 78 Title: Captain VMS Scotia Nova, Councilor of the Common Treasury Bio: Oldest officer in the navy, Yasha has proved time and time again that just because she inherited her fortune, doesn'y mean that she does not have the ability to create it. Name: Tyber of the Bermassu Age 52 Title: Captain of VMS Drunkard's Lance, Baron of the Baronies Bio: Hailing from the Military bases on Udin, Tyber is one of the more experienced noblemen to have command of a warship, having served in the anti-piracy flotilla for years. Name: Kregas of the Yer Age 36 Title: Captain of VMS Golden Bio: The newest officer to ascend to the command of a capital ship, Kregas replaced his old captain who died in a pub brawl, fought between the crew of the VMS Golden and the factory workers of Manufactorum XY-123-SA. Of the five thousand participants, over a thousand ended up dead. Kregas was almost one of them, but managed to pull through, much to the pleasure of his crew.

Recent Activity

10,147: Lady Kyra acknowledged that Yefelgus' landmass was not being efficiently managed. She authorized the construction of new, modern factories across the planet. Almost 5% of the population of Praetorus were enlisted in to the building of the skycraper buildings which would finance a new Krak System. To ensure that her system's links with the rest of the galaxy were strong, Kyra also funded a vast neutral spacedock, which would function as a trading post for government transactions, and for outsider captains to offer their services without having the threat of terrorist actions. 10,148: The industrial revolution continues under Lord Jason Mythers' watchful gaze. Hundreds of thousands of previously unemployed peasants now are working, either in the completed factories or working on new ones. The new fledgling middle class which has started to rise to control the new factories, have led many to believe that there will be a shortage of willing volunteers for the army as those with aspirations will instead turn to the factories for financial and political gains. Mychael Mythers spearheaded the expanding of the naval forces, putting forward plans that would see the military installations on Udin increased in size, and to have the navy and land forces united into the Krak Armed Forces under the nominal command of the Staff of Captains. With a large backing, Michael is actively expanding the shipyards above Trebanius, and even has plans of constructing them above Udin. 10,489 The Middle class continues to grow, so much so that the lack of manpower available for the military has forced House Mythers to literally open the floodgates, allowing those not of noble birth to attempt for officer training, and those with criminal records to be considered for frontline service. As this goes on, the Bermaxai asteroid belt has been flooded with defensive weapon platforms, a space wall to deter any aggressor. Jason Mythers is reported to have declared the installations so powerful that he could happily host a party in the belt during a battle.
