Default -New Campaign Type: Proving Grounds.

    -New Campaign Type: Proving Grounds.

-Proving Grounds is a New Campaign like the "Free Form
    Campaign", or "Hyrule Historia Campaign".

-Proving Grounds is a free for all melee with 2 game modes.
    1) King of the Hill.
    2) Extinction.

More will be given about these game modes bellow.

-The Campaign map will be a circle of land sectioned off by
mountains like pie or pizza. Each slice will have one faction
with 5 regains/cities with a mountain pass leading to the
middle of the map. The middle of the map will have 3
Regains/cities of neutral origins. Back stabbing a faction by
using the sea is impossible because of mountains.

    -Playable Factions are:

    Labrynna Regime
    Stalfos
    Gohma
    Kingdom of Hyrule
    Forces of Twilight
    Darknut Legion
    Fairies of Tarm
    Gerudo
    Kokiri
    The Deku Tribes
    Ordona Province
    Order of the Wizzrobe
    Kingdom of Ikana
    Gorons
    Zora Dominion
    Moblins
    Sheikah Cadre
    River Zora
    Lizalfos
    Lanayru Province
    (Possible Addition)
Free Peoples Alliance: An alliance of Tokay, Subrosians, Horonians, Huskus, and Zuna.

-None used Factions for campaign are:

    Tokay
    Subrosians
    Ancient Hylians
    Horonians
    Wildlife
    Huskus
    Mercenaries
    Zuna

    -Game Modes:

King of the Hill: Short campaign.
First Faction to hold all 3 central regains/cities for 15-20 turns Wins.

    Extinction: Long Campaign.
First Faction to hold all 3 central regains/cities for 15-20
turns, And occupy all other cities on the would map wins.

    Now I have 3 questions.
    1) What do you all think?
    2) Who is up for this?
    3) At this time I have no way of making "Proving Grounds". So
who would be up for making it for me? And claiming it as their own?

I am not sure about Hyrule total war, but this is actually a really interesting concept for a total war campaign, even if it were to use the vanilla factions.

Like the idea. On the fence about the pizza shaped map. Seems like it would be difficult to divide a map in 20+ slices. What about a map of interconnected hexagons instead?

If you want to make a map then use Geomod. It's what Neph used to make the H:TW one and it's fantastic.

I think this would make for a cool mod for Total War in general. Extinction would run for hours on end but hey, so does anything Total War.

Cool but it feels a little sterile. I've always felt that a big part of this mod, and any other one for that matter, is the fact that your fighting over Hyrule and its significant locations. As Gorons I'd take Kakiriko so the Gorons control the base of the mountain, not Hyrule. As the Regime I expand to the edge of the forrest before recruiting my subservient allies of Subrosia and Horon before making my two pronged attack into Deku territory.

Making a balanced, symmetrical map kind of takes some of the charm away. It feels more like a game of Starcraft than a grand strategy spanning a continent in turmoil.

One of the points of this kind of map is to duke it out with your armys. Instead of winning because of Politics or wealth. You try to win by sheer force and skill with your armys.

Then why not just do custom battles if resources and territory aren't important? If politics isn't involved then you wont be fighting alongside anyone else, and if money is no object then there isn't really a need to capture more territories than the victory ones.

It's a cool idea, but I just don't see how it couldn't just be achieved with custom games, or how it adds to this mod in particular due to its emphasis on story and lore.

Resources and territory are important. But wealth alone will not guarantee success, like in the Free Form Campaign. How well you use your army is of more important. The reason Custom Battles will not work just as well, is Because...
    1) You can't recruit units.
    2) One Custom Battle will not influence the next.
    3) A Custom Battle is fought with a randomized army of their hole unit roster, unless you pick them for you and your foe.
    4) You can't set objectives.
    5) You aren't fighting a faction but a tournament in Custom Battles
    6) None of the stuff above can occur with Custom Battles unless you do a lot of calculations.
    7) In addition you can't calculations any of the stuff above for the AI.
    8) Most people can't do the calculations needed to simulate a free for all melee like Proving Grounds. And if you did, the results would be affected by human thoughts, choices, and Errors.
    9) For the Hole situation in general, It would be much easier to just play a campaign like Proving Grounds.

Much easier to play, but how many hundreds of hours would it take to make? I fail to see how making a campaign would be easier than, well, almost anything else.

Like I said I am not sure if this would be good for Hyrule total war, however I think this would be a fun campaign to play as its own mod that uses the vanilla factions.

I agree with Jakeford. Its a interesting idea, but it doesn't have anything specific to HTW that it wouldn't add anywhere else.
