Kosovo has established special war crimes tribunal

So the independent Republic of Kosovo has established an independent court to investigate war crimes during Kosovo liberation war. What are your opinions on this?

Does it put them in a moral high ground over Serbia?

No, since we don't know what the conclusion of investigation would be yet; I expect it is Kosovo's desperated attempt to prove its innocence and may well reach "everyone except Serbs is innocent" conclusion.

Will most likely be the case, just like with the rest of Balkans. All of us are equal in our strife to self-determination, but some are more equal then the others...

It could be a way for the Kosovar elites to get rid of some of the organized crime leaders.

KLA was dominated by the Albanian Mafia from the very beginning and the West had to put up with that 15 years ago because the KLA was the only organized force on the Albanian side.

However such a paradise for drug dealers and white slavers so close to the EU borders will eventually get shut down.

It seems the time has come. That those guys will be arrested on war crimes charges is just a convenient way to handle the real issue, which is to put an end to the lawlessness there.

No, international court deals only with leaders and major figures. The people doing the executions, the torturers, rapists and looters also need to be tried.
