The system of Sirius is old in regard of the empire and is staunchly in the hands of the Old Lords. They are ruled by the house of Van Halewyck. There are three planets in the system, all are heavily populated. The capital planet is called Sirius like their system. The planets have a mild climate. Because the planets are heavily populated, there is little space for natural parks. Before the coming of man, there was little to be found on these planets except for dirt and rock. Everything on the planet has been handmade or remolded by humans. Urban and nature have become one on Sirius. The city's are modernly built and green. Every free bit of empty space has been planted with grass or trees.

Politics on Sirius are headed by a feudal monarch, but these monarchs have little actual power except in times of crisis. Most of the politics are controlled by councils and boards, whom are elected by the population.
The population of Sirius doesn't bother itself with war and other things that might be considered uncomfortable. Most of the population lives a comfortable life. Its system is surrounded by other Old Lords so the threat of the being attacked is small. So Sirius might be more famous for its dedication to the arts, fashion and leisure. The royal court of the family Van Halewyck is notorious for its endless stream of parties, gossip and intrigue.

The house of van Halewyck is an old and powerful house. They are monarchs of the system of Sirius and therefore belong to the order of Old Lords. A title they are worthy of, since they have been in power since the Golden Age. A few - but not many emperors belonged to their house. They have a place in the council by right and have not been stripped from that, like some of the other old lords. They are known as a decadent family - even for Old Lord standards. Because they are surrounded by other Old lord systems in the empire, they rarely bother themselves with war and the other systems in general.

Victoire inherited her power, being the eldest child of her parents.
She is a extremely snobbish woman and very vain. She dresses elaborate with much make-up, great wigs and lavish costumes. Being born from an old lineage in the ruling class of the Old Lords, she is accustomed to great privilege. She is self-centered and views the customs of the old lords the only right one. She is also ignorant of the other systems of the empire, often confused about who-is-who except for the old order. In her homeplanet, she is assisted in ruling by a council of her own. She generally does what they tell her to do. In truth the monarch of Sirius has little power of their own and function merely as a figure head.
In personal time, she likes the outdoors, party's and the arts. She has been married for six times and is recently divorced. She has several children from her marriages.
