    Default CTD after PC reboot

    First of let me say greetings and well met! I have been following the forums for a short while, but am now forced to register myself to ask the following.

    Earlier this week, I downloaded and installed the SS mod. I did everything the right way (disable UAC and so forth). The mod works perfectly. That is, until I restart my PC. Every single time I shut down my PC and fire it up again after a few hours, the game immediately crashes to desktop. This does not happen when I just leave the game and start it again without shutting down the PC.

    This is the error that appears. Helpful, ain't it?

    But I can easily get it working again. By reinstalling everything. Needless to say, it's ticking me off. Anyone else had this problem before? Any ideas on how to fix it without having to wait a really long time each time I shut down my PC? Installing the mod takes longer than installing Max Payne 3, for some reason.

    My PC;

    W7 Home Premium 64
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
    NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660
    16 GB RAM

    So nothing changed, after a few reinstalls.

    I finally gave in and bought the Steam version, in the hopes that would solve the problem. 6.3 worked, but when I patch to 6.4, I get the exact same problem. Really frustrating.
