Vici System
Seat of House Gin-Ammon
Vici System
Vici is a system of that connects to the heart of the empire and is a gateway into the Slaver systems. It has its fill on trade and the benefits of cheap labor. A system with as few as 2 habitable planets but several moon installations, 3 of which have terraformed atmospheres.

Vici Prime has the largest population of man and a substantial slave population, being the main home of the markets and commerce throughout the system. Closer to the edge of the habitable zone of the star Vici, it is hot and holds very little life after the conquest of the planet. Plants native to the planet soak up whatever liquid they can over the course of a year, making them small and evolved to prevent the theft of their life blood from other creatures, entangled with brambles and spines. High rises dot the land scape of the planet, most of it still recovering from the orbital bombardments from the first years of the Holy Crusades. These rises expand hundreds of floors into the sky, each a community in its own right. From these populations are the merchants and common citizenry arise from, also the base of recruitment for the House’s guard. On top of each of these City Towers lies a compound that houses a member of the extensive House Gin-Ammon, who oversees commerce in the area as well as keeps a close eye on the happenings of their holdings.

Below these rises, on the barren parts of the planet’s surface, host giant pits filled with Spartan buildings; once craters from the bombardments have been changed into prison cities that have their own shipping platforms for transports so that the businesses owned by the family can go straight to the source for their labor needs. Each one of these Internment cities hosts its own regiment of House guards, these cities acting as training camps as well as barrack’s for the House’s personal guard-army.

The slaves live, breed, work and eventually die in these cities if they are not traded or ferried off to another installation to work. Feed nothing but nutrient and protein bar, which is sometimes made for the remains of their fallen, they toil in the fields and in the factories that lie within the cities.
Surrounding Vici Prime, a total of 3 moons revolves around the planet at various orbits; the Biggest of which houses the main military defense platform and space dock, Alexandria. This the home of most of the military might of the house as well as it’s navy. This hold a good number of slaves used for construction of ships and new weaponry emplacements.

The second planet still in the habitable zone of the large sun of the Vici, is Serenissima. Though much smaller than Vici prime in both size and population, it is the home of House Gin-Ammon and is filled courtier families and families of soldiers who have long served the House, all whom owe everything they have to the graces of House Gin-Ammon. Grand Villas and Resorts, belonging to the House, dot the landscape with various mansions and plantation style homes surrounding these monolithic House compounds. The main branch as well as extended family all has large lavish compounds, which over the years have become built around by the population turning them into towns and even cities. The natural color of the landscape gives it a wheat colored hue, that makes the white marble and obsidian colors of the townships and cities stand out. Large green house areas cover large tracks of land, since the planet is hardly populated. From here the food for the system is made, as well as finer drink for the higher classes. Two moons surround the planet, both mined out ages ago, the empty factories now put to use, leased out to private businesses, but heavily policed by the Home guard.

Vici Secundus lies closer to the sun than Vici Prime and was unsuitable for human life but was home to a large Reptilian population during the crusade. Ancestor of the House, Marc bombarded the planet until its own atmosphere finally caught fire and turned the planet into a fiery hellscape that is a constant reminder for the slave population that looks into the sky and sees its blazing, almost as bright as the sun Vici itself, who has the power in this system.

Duat-Vici, is a smaller planet than the rest, cold and lifeless, but boasts a large mining and industrial base, mostly worked by slaves, though the planet also hosts a number of smaller free citizen settlements that have sprung up due to the Home guard population, that watches over the large operations. These small settlements are housed within abandoned slave cities, repurposed to be more homely than their last owners. Duat is also used as the main hub for the Slave trade in the system. Traders have built their own slave compounds, though tiny in compared to the Houses personal stock, collectively that hold a large number of the Reptilian population that came from this system. Duat has one moon, which is almost as large as the small planet itself, which houses a smaller dockyard, used to build trade ships and small vessels, as well as receive incoming traffic from other system. It is used to I.D. travelers and keep out unwanted elements. Vici is a slaver system, but it is an orderly society.

The Great Warden House of Gin-Ammon – Lords of Vici
"Ordinis - Fortitudo - Bona"
The scions of house Gin-Ammon trace their lineage back to the notable conqueror and eventual emperor during the fourth great holy war, Marc Argenmon. Taking one of the first home planets of the beast race of Reptiles, he was rewarded with it and became loved by the people. His popularity is what made him emperor and his continued campaigns against the Reptiles made him renowned. Known as the Silver Spear, his eyes his most notable physical trait, his combat record his most renowned legend. He spared little pity for the Reptilian race, adhereing to the beliefs of the Promethean creed fervently. Bombarding various planets, destroying heavily populated planets rather than spare them. His campaigns were the spear head for the beginning of the mass decimation and capture of the Reptilian empire. He broke the navies and armies of the reptiles in the beginning and pushed back various counter attacks. He took one of their most heavily defended systems for himself, and his family, the Vici system (Named in memory of his contributions to the Empire) Eventually falling in battle, his legend is still carried on by his family, though many tend to forget their ancestors grand reputation nowadays. Through many millennium and cultural shifts: the name Argenum has changed, filtered through many languages and marriage ties into Gin-Ammon. A Warden house, they keep a close eye on their wares, their household guard acting as a police, prison and military arm.
The family itself is of a range of completion from a dark tan to a lighter tone of skin. Their hair is dark black that is most of the time grown out long and tied back. Their eyes are distinctively grey, and are of medium stature. Normally dressed in comfortable robes or vestments when in their homes, but dressed in formal ware while in public. The Men of the house are normally in Military dressed, older house members brandishing medals (mostly for show) for commands or services rendered to the house.
The family itself considers as important as the old families, though is not completely oblivious to the way the other families see them. They always like to work from a position of strength, and when they feel threatened they are not afraid to take immediate action. They are very proud at the core and take their ancestry very seriously. They have the blood of emperors and conquerors in them, and will always feel it is in their right to rule and expand their grip.
The great house enjoys its leisure, but is always makes sure business comes before pleasure. There has been crisis in the past, plagues among the slaves, even an uprising once, only once. But the calm and cunning minds of the House are ever watchful of their charges and keep a firm grip on everything that goes on in the system. It is an orderly society, and the free peoples live rather nice lives as long as they play by the rules. Entertainment is available to all free citizens as well as House funded education. Those among the common peoples that prove themselves intellectually even may work directly for the family as their hands in public offices. Other than intellect, common people may rise through the ranks of the Home Guard, maybe one day preforming a great act as to earn them a place with their families on Serenissima.
