Default The Delpha System, Seat of House Gamora

    The Delpha System

The Delpha System sits at the heart of Slaver space. The System is a haven for Smugglers, Mercenaries, Pirates, and Criminals of all colors and creeds, owing largely to the light Imperial presence in the System and its position deep in the largely free spirited Slaver Systems. Imperial law largely goes unenforced in the system, leaving only Gamora laws in its place..of which there is only one “don’t with the Gamora”, as long as people keep to that they can find welcome in Delpha. Delpha’s bazaars overflow with an assortment both legal and illegal delights, offered to all comers..as long as they can pay of course.

Delpha is a five planet system orbiting a yellow dwarf Star named Yavin. It’s a system rich in slaves, more slaves, and criminals.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The planet closest to Yavin, Alpha, is a small, rocky, moonless, pressure cooker of a planet, its surface dotted by industrial mines. The planet itself is rich in mineral material wealth, but its nature has earned it the name “the Hotbox” by those humans unfortunate enough to be assigned foremen duty here and “Wrath’s Eye” by the Reptilians forced to work the mines.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Laconia is a Level 3 Garden-World, its largely rural landscape being devoted exclusively to planet wide Reptilian-Breeding. Its moon, Opiate, serves as one massive military base, ironically named Freedom, devoted to the suppression of Reptilian uprisings and the hunting of those that attempt an escape. This one “Breeder-World” provides more slaves in a single month than most Slaver Systems do in a year.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The next planet in line, Persepolis, is a Level 5 Garden-World. Its vast rural landscape is devoted to sprawling plantations run by the Landed Gentry and worked by Reptilians (kept in line by a substantial population of human foremen in service to the Warden Gentry). The planet remains unmarred by mining and industry, because of this unspoiled beauty this is where the Palaces of the ruling Lords are traditionally held. The planets sole moon, Aphrodite, remains entirely untouched by civilization. Aphrodite is covered by a moon wide Ueirwood forest, serving interchangeably as a private hunting resort and spa retreat for the aristocracy.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Attica is the largest terrestrial planet, and economic center, of the system. Much of the planet’s surface is urbanized and industrial. The city is modern in function, but built in a melding of the aesthetic traditions of its Greek and Persian settlers. This Mega-City is a notoriously filthy one, cramped and squalid its narrow streets burst with life and death if you happen upon the wrong part of town. These streets lead from one bazaar to another, at which near any substance or service, legal or illegal, can be purchased. It is by far the most populace planet or moon in the System and the focus of the Systems industrial power, thus requiring a large Reptilian workforce. The lands outside of the city are notoriously swampy and heavily polluted from industry.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

If Attica is the economic heart of the system then Artemis, one of Attica’s dual moons, is both its administrative and cultural capital. This City-Moon is virtually crawling in petty-criminals, drug-dealers, information-brokers, pimps, loan-sharks, and bookies. It is here where criminals from across the galaxy come to hide from Imperial authority and spend their hard-won earnings. The city’s attractions include brothels, casinos, exotic bazaars, and coliseums (the ruling Lord’s Administrative Palace can be found here as well). Ironically this city of sin is home to the Slaver Stem's Supreme Court, giving the Gamora legal power to protect their constituency. At the heart of it all the Grand Coliseum sits proud, this is where the Games are held by the Lords of the system. Reptilians, Insectoids, Non-Sentient Alien Beasts, and even Humans (100% willing participants of course) fight to the deafening roar of the crowd. Apollo (Artemis’ twin) is split between the largest Military Base/Defence Platform, Olypmus, in the System and the System’s three Military Shipyards, aptly named “the Forge of the God's” (portions of which are devoted to servicing Pirate and Smuggler vessels covertly).

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Omega, the farthest planet from Yavin, is a Gas Giant plagued by constant super hurricanes holding over a dozen moons in its sway. Omega itself is orbited by dozens of industrial scale "gas mining" stations siphoning off the precious gases that can be found abundantly in its atmosphere, these stations must constantly avoid the hurricanes that patrol Omega's surface. Beta, Delta, Sigma, and Chi are all sparsely populated mining colonies. Pi, Tau, Phi, Theta, Xi, Eta, and Lambda are all unspoiled. And finally Gamma is a used up husk of a moon, covered in abandoned mining operations and frequented by scavengers. Beyond Omega lies the God’s Belt that rings the System, it too is dotted by mining operations (both abandoned and active).

    The House Gamora

The House Gamora is an ancient warden family from the first days of the Reptilian conquest. Many stellar cycles have come and gone since those days, but despite the trials of time the Gamora family stands stronger than ever from its position high atop the Citadel on Artemis. The family has a long history of bribery, shrewd diplomacy, and systematic enslavement. Rumors have been circulating for some time that Reptilians aren't the only ones enslaved in the Delpha system, but they remain rumors due to its distance from the core worlds, Delpha's central location in the slaver system, and the political clout the Gamora family wields.

The symbol of House Gamora is a golden bloom on a field of green. The flower (a known symbol of peace, growth, and prosperity) is considered by most to be an ironic symbol for the House Gamora, as they are generally considered vile slavers with questionable relations to the seedier underground. This has led many to claim they aren't the bloom rather the snake hiding beneath it, this is complimented by their family motto "The Shadow at your Back".

House Gamora rules the Delpha system, one of the "member stars" of the triple star clusters that once made up the heart of the Reptilian Empire, from their capital Delphi.

The High Lord Oenamaus, Warden of Delpha, Keeper of the Slaves, Guardian of the Cluster, Etc., Etc. accepts communication opening a line to the Prince.

"A Merchant Prince wishing to speak with me? Why now I've seen just about everything."

Really, Lord Oenamaus? Do actually want to start our conversation like that?

Viggo cared little for Slavers but he was in need for something

"Perhaps. It depends what you've come to speak of."

Oenamaus never did trust merchants, 'sly devils always plotting the downfall of the Wardens' his father had told him once many moons ago, strong words coming from a man known for providing safe harbor to smugglers, pirates, and criminals of all kinds. But he'd been right of course.

What do Merchants speak of if not of trade?

"Of course.. but what, might I ask, could a Merchant Prince want with Delphan slaves? Reptilians are the only thing of sufficient value and quantity for interstellar trade on the galactic market, and the last time I checked Slavery was illegal beyond the Warden Systems."

    Should I end communications then?

His patience was running out. As years passed he had become a more direct person and had little time for people like Gamora
