Creating frontend maps
Hello everyone, I'm working on a mod that unlocks certain factions. I want that mod to be as perfect as possible, that's why I ask you how you create a good frontend map in Rome II style (ui/frontend/map_rom_faction).
So, can anyone explain me how to make a map like this:

It doesn't have to be exactly the same, but just in a similar way. (like the font type, the map background etc)

Re: Creating frontend maps
Hello pal, i have a pretty good idea how to create one of these, what are some of the factions your unlocking, i will try to create one and if i get it right you can tell me, but heres the basics
. in gimp open a frontend map and open new, it will give you the same size, find the rome 2 map and the section you want of it and paste into the new window. from there you need to change perspective that will give the effect of looking down at an angle instead of at the map head on. then its a case of preference, applying blur, shading, burning, over lay and colouring. before starting all this also sharpen the image. if you up the pixels in the new window before pasting the map in the the sharpen should give you a much better finish
