Loading screen goes black

Hello,

After my game froze once, I had to restart the computer by holding the power button until it shut off. After this every time I play TATW and my game is loading, first I can see the background and the usual quote that comes with it, but after 1 second it goes totally black for 2 seconds. After this the loading thingy with the ring comes back up but with no background. Also, my in game turns take much longer time, both my own and the AI takes a lot longer time than before the crash/freezing.

Anyone have any idea what to do?

A laptop is not perfect for playing TATW, due to overheating possibility. Do you have some cooling pad which you can mount and test the game again?

Also, your CPU is 2.4 GHz, do you have overclock possibility? M2TW uses only one CPU core and this game ( TATW) can be stressful for it.

Test with lowering all TATW video settings, use normal Unit Size, check the temperatures of your laptop while gaming.
