Ok, so 2.5 works great no problems...2.6 I get CTD every battle and have given up trying to fix it. So, my question is is 2.5 bugged enough where I will not have a good campaign (I play as ROMA). I read about a rebel army spam and stuff...but would I still have a good campaign? I really want to paly this, the fist battle against Carthage alone makes me never wanna go back to ROME 2. Please, anyone with experience with 2.5 could you let me know. Thanks

Make sure your path length is as short as possible and you wont have any problems ever.
for ex: D/:RS2.

yea "THE DUDE" is gonna play rs looking forward to your let's play with it if you plan to make one.

do you have win8?ill send you private message with a possible solution for the manny CTD's
but make sure you have your anti malware and virus set to ignore rome1 and RS.

if you wanna play romans best use 2.6 the rebel spam is a real gamebreaker.

Yeah, its only 2.6 causing the crash....I can't figure it out. 2.5 works like a charm but seem like it has bugs as you described.

Oh, I will be making a let's play....I love this mod and game, so fun..........Nah windows 7, but I use the stream version of alexander. It could be that 128 character, but why would 2.5 work so well.

2.6 every battle CTD....2.5 no problem.....EWWWWW I just want to get my RS2 on man! lol

Well I managed to install 2.5 and 2.6 with steam alexander, both work but crash after every single battle. what a pity. Its a nice battle, although the problem is i can't progress into the campaign xD

Would you please share how you did it? I will add it to the list of problems in the 'Newer PC's' thread if it is a new problem not covered.

BTW, I play and test RS2.6 on Win7...use BI, but don't use Steam. No CTD's...ever. BUT, I follow all rules in the Newer PC thread...no autosave, etc.

Hehe RTW2 would be more accurate.
