Sauron Crash

Whenever I click on Sauron on the battlefield in a siege battle the game crashes with the "unspecified error" message. I tested it out on custom battles and he seems to work fine in open field battles. Also I tried using the ents in siege battles as well and they seem to work fine too. It's just when I click on Sauron I have about 5-10 secs before the game CTD's. I have the steam version of M2TW, windows 7, 3.2 TATW, no submods. I'd like to sort this out before I start a campaign. Anyone have any solutions?

On further investigation, it happens with the Balrog as well.

Hmm, it all looks fine for this game..

1. Did you install all four TATW Parts+Patches all up to 3.2 version?

2.Before installing TATW, did you take ownership of your main M2TW folder, or, Edited Security for your main M2TW folder?

3. Do other battles work in TATW? And, how about battles in M2TW?

1. Yeah, TATW 3.0 part 1 and 2 plus 3.1 and 3.2
2. I haven' done this part, does it have any affect on being able to play other mods for M2TW?
3. Every other battle seems to work, it's only when Sauron or the Balrog are present in Siege Battles on custom battles that I get a crash after clicking on them.

If I were you, I would install/move M2TW/Kingdoms + TATW anywhere else, just not in your Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder.

That way you would bypass Windows feature called User Account Control, which can screw over some of your mods installed. If you do this, then you do not need to Edit Security for your main M2TW folder. But, if you want to try to Edit Security and test your battles again, go here and aapply first step explained for Windows 7 Users: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...h-pictures-!-)
