    Default How to avoid CTDs

    - Important!!!! Remove all other mods from the Data folder. Several CA models are replaced and if other mods keep them/use different models there is a conflict that may cause a crash.

    - Run Steam as Administrator. To do this rightclick on Steam and select "Run as Administrator". This may reduce loading screen crashes.

    - Delete saved games. This seems to play a role in ETW CTDs.

    - Try deleting the fx_cache and scripts and user_script before running mod in Modmanager. The fx_cache can be found at (on Windows 7) C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\fx_cache. The scripts can be found at: C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts.
