"A skeptic is one who prefers beliefs and conclusions that are reliable and valid to ones that are comforting or convenient, and therefore rigorously and openly applies the methods of science and reason to all empirical claims, especially their own. A skeptic provisionally proportions acceptance of any claim to valid logic and a fair and thorough assessment of available evidence, and studies the pitfalls of human reason and the mechanisms of deception so as to avoid being deceived by others or themselves. Skepticism values method over any particular conclusion." - Dr Steven Novella
My work is almost exclusively done in an international setting. But my education and current work is built on Swedish tax money and issues of nationality and cooperation can be major obstacles in the projects.
So I would say that despite working in an international environment I am very happy to be a Swedish citizen.
World citizen does not mean anything.

I chose "Western" in global terms.

I'm a citizen of my country and proudly so. I'd find it difficult to identify myself otherwise.

Citizen of my country and only of my country. I like my national identity and care little for globalism or the values other try to impose on me.
One thing is for certain: the more profoundly baffled you have been in your life, the more open your mind becomes to new ideas.

Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.
World citizen of course. I'll happily migrate to any country that is better than mine if given the chance.
This is truly a difficult question of me to answer. I am Greek but I wasn't raised there entirely, I wasn't born there and I'm not there now. I was born one place an raised in 3 others. How can I just disregards these places that have had such an impact on me growing as a person, how can I not call myself international after something like this? Truth is I am torn, and don't really know what to do about it.

Are you Greek then? You have Greek heritage, but someone who was born in Greece is Greek. A huge amount of Australians have Irish and English blood but it doesn't make them either, they are Aussies.I wasn't born there and I'm not there now
I was born in the UK - my blood is pretty much 100% Irish but I'm not Irish. My family supports the Irish rugby team and cooks traditional Irish food etc but still I'm British with Irish parentage. I don't go around telling people I'm Irish, I was born in London.
I remember chatting to some American bird and she mentioned she was half-Italian/half-Irish but simply born in America, she didn't consider herself "American" but half-Italian/half Irish. Nope you're American.
Both, and more. I am a citizen of my locale, a citizen of my state, a citizen of my country, a citizen of my continent, a citizen of the world, a citizen of the Solar System, a citizen of my galaxy, and a citizen of my universe. But most importantly, I'm a human being, and I try not to prioritize the welfare of some human beings over others based on arbitrary titles and boundaries.![]()

World citizen I suppose. More accurately I'm a middle-class citizen (like most people who claim to be citizens of the world).
Underneath it all, middle class people from around the world aren't so different, well different countries have different standards for what constitutes middle-class, but you know what I mean.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are so certain of themselves, but wiser people are full of doubts.

This, although I still felt compelled to vote on citizen of my country instead of the world. I've lived abroad now for three years, in two different countries, and the fact that I'm an American and everything I do and say reflects on my home country makes the distinction very clear. In fact, I'm reminded that I'm a foreigner in another people's land every time I walk outside into public and open my mouth.![]()
The fact that I hold citizenship in virtually the world's only superpower (with China nipping at its heels) also affects how I may be viewed and treated in certain parts of the world.

Strictly legally speaking, I am obviously a citizen of the country in which I was born and currently live in, i.e. a Greek citizen. I do not identify with any particular nation though, and don't really share many values with the inhabitants of this country, although that is not to say that I don't share some of them. Societies characterized by organic solidarity tend to have less differences with each other anyway.

I consider myself cosmopolitan rather than globalist.
I'm American because I am American and I like it here. So long as I don't get lumped in with ignorant bastards in Oklahoma because of treaties signed before my birth and without my permission.
Yet common humanity comes before nationality.
I don't think there should be a global government as that would be disastrous, but I do think there need to be global cultural norms. When I look at Korea or somewhere on the other side of the earth I can instantly see that we are the same flesh and blood.
