Performance issues
Here's my rig:
AMD FX 8320 3.5GHz
AMD Radeon R9 270x OC
ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
16GB Kingston HyperX Beast
I'm getting performance issues in games such as Total War Shogun 2 and Total War Rome 2; here is the issue.
In both games frame rates will drop when I explore the map or turn the camera in a battle. And the games will just lag when units engage in combat, especially if I zoom in.
Currently I'm running both games on High settings with shadows on medium and only V-sync enabled.
My issue here, and concern, is that I should be able to respectively run both of these games on high settings with large armies, without getting FPS drops to 10-15.
All my drivers are up to date and I've turned turbo core, cool n quite and all the other gimmicks that can effect performance off.
Anyone have any ideas? This problem is getting frustrating now, I shouldn't be getting these problems with my rig.

Re: Performance issues
They only will change the engine when SEGA lets them since SEGA is paying their paychecks.

Re: Performance issues
Yeah good point aha
But do you not find it annoying that we still can only handle army sizes that we had in Medieval 2, which came out in 2006....8 years ago.
Mind you, even with my PC if I put 8 units of 3500 in Medieval 2 the game is unplayable....its just stupid no matter how good your computer is you can't have massive battles. I wanted to truly reenact the battle of Agincourt; which if you didn't know was when an English force of 6000 defeated a French force of 20,000. So as you guessed from above, if I attempt that, the game is unplayable.
Ahhh I wish for the day when I can have 20,000-60,000 man armies....maybe even more.

Yes, I know it's a 32bit program in a 64bit world and the limits of it. One reason why I would not buy it and said so.
