Downloaded File Doesn't Know What To Open Itself With
I downloaded TATW from ModDB, and after 2 hours (!) of downloading it finished. When I opened it, my computer asked me what I would like to run it with. WinRaR, Java, Notepad and so on. NOne of them brought up e installation thingy everyone seems to be getting. Tried downloading again, renaming to .exe, almost everything. Please help. (Windows 8)

Run Windows Update and see will that fix your problem.

Also, I've received conflicting information about whether or not you have to download the previous versions of TATW (3.0, 3.1 etc.). Clarification would be nice.

Worth a note, when I open it up with any text documents (Notepad etc.) it has just a bunch of random characters, and then one line that states, "This program cannot be run in DOS mode." No idea what that means, but maybe it has something to do with my error.

Run Windows Updates, then download TATW 3.0 both parts, patches TATW 3.1 and 3.2. Install TATW by running .exe files. Note! Do not download from MoDB using Internet Explorer, use either Mozilla Firefox or Chrome. And, you can disable your Antivirus program during downloading, and during the installation.

If you have Steam M2TW version, then you only need to do first step.
