So there I was minding my own business, not letting generals die, defending the empire, building epic cities, slaughtering Turks, etc, and my generals are the most disloyal, traitorous vermin to ever walk the game universe. Seriously, you wouldn't let them hold a banana without watching out for them trying to bash you with it. Tips please?
Furthermore the littleare the worse governors I have ever seen, not only do they create instant public rage, they also reduce income, reduce growth so bad that the only explanation is that they spend all their free time killing peasants. Its so bad that I don't let them near my towns anymore except for a very select few. Mostly they are sent to the front immediately to mostly fight and occasionally die heroically in battle. The cost to treasury is out weighed by the cost of not sending them to the front.
Another issue is refitting my elite troops. I am playing Byzantium and my varigan guard and the other elite units I start with cant refit, once a soldier dies he is DEAD. So over time the units dwindle in strength until it fads completely. I have cheated to max upgrade Constantinople and stationed my faction leader there as well and nothing works.
