    Default Submods not overriding?

I had a small submod for DEI that tightens pikemen spacing and lets the fourth rank attack (originally hardcore salmons work).

The submod worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago after an update, when DEI's spacing values refused to be overriden by my submod. The weird thing is the pike animation fragment still works but the unit spacing always reverts back to vanilla DEI.

I've tried remaking the mod, updating my schema, and reinstalling rome 2 but it will not fix this issue.

Does anyone have experience with submods not overriding mods? If you activate multiple mods that deal with the same values, how does the mod manager decide which one to use?

Its all about the name of the mod pack. DeI recently changed thier mod pack name from Divi...... to _Divi..... meaning that you will need to change your pack name to be anything before that ef _Civi..... or _Dhvi....

    Hello magnar,

Thanks for the help but I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Would you mind giving me an example of a modpack name that would work for DEI?

Also, do I need to change the folder name from that of DEI or leave it the same?

Save your mod as "1_pikes" instead of "pikes" or whatever it is called at the moment. Load order in the mod manager is defined alphabetically by file name, so if DEI's file name starts with an "_" you have to play top trumps and beat it with a number.

    Mackles,

That was exactly it, thanks a lot. I've been bashing my head over this for hours.

And I see now that is what Magnar was trying to tell me but I was being to thick to understand.

Plus rep to the both of you,

I am guessing this means that if you have the same file directory in different mods, the mod manager will give priority to the mod file that has the lowest factor.
Example, if my mod has alandunits and land units, I need to have a file with a name less than "A" for it to have priority. I would name it using a number or _
Question: If my mod is zlandunits and there are no other mods, will my mod have priority over the file in the vanilla pack file data_rome2?
