How do I recruit ships?
Hello there, I'm playing as the Saba. At some point, I'm going to want to conquer places beyond my little Arabian hamlet, and if I don't want to trek across the desert for years, ships are the way to go. I also want to take Axum in any case, so crossing the Red Sea will be something I'd like to do. However, I don't see any way for the Saba to build ships from their ports. Am I missing something? Are ships one of the regional units Saba picks up by conquering, say, Alexandria? Or does it require something else which I don't understand? I'm new to EB (and enjoying it a lot!), so bear with me,

Re: How do I recruit ships?
To build ships you need a military port rather than a trading port. Only certain cities, that have a hidden resource, can build military ports.
For Saba, Tamane (the settlement south of Maryab) can build ships once you have built a military port there.
I am not certain but the capability to build military ports may be linked to government type. So if you have a type 3 or 4 government in Tamane and cannot see the option to build a military port, you may need to abolish the government and build type 1 or type 2.
