    Default Outdated Mods

My mods that I made for personal gameplay have become "outdated." How do I make them work again? I've tried remaking them via the PFM and it still won't load. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please give some advice or point me in the right direction. My mods only affected unit costs, technology tree, building values etc.
    Thanks.

Upload them to Steam Workshop. You need to do this every time the game is patched. Essentially you're approving your mod for the latest patch.

This does not work either for some unknown reason. When I try both of the suggested solutions mentioned above the game just times out and I have to stop the game via the task manager. Solutions?

Disabling the mods, they are uploaded now, allows the game to run normally. hmmmm

The launcher doesn't actually determine if your mod is out of date based on when your was made or with what version of the game you had when you made it, but rather when the last time it was updated on Steam Workshop. As a result, anything you make and don't upload and subscribe to will always show up as out of date and the only way around that at the moment is to enable out of date mods to get them to work unfortunately (with the potential for crashes that entails).

Edit: Sorry for the repeat, was no other reply when I started typing.

You don't have to upload actually. I just tick that box to enable un-updated mod and proceed to play. As long as the mod itself is compatible with the latest patch it will work.

Thread moved from Campaign Map Modifications to Mod workshop. Please don't make threads there unless you're submitting a modification. Use mod workshop to ask modding related questions.

That means it's crashing *because* it's incompatible with the current version of Rome 2 for whatever reason. The manager has nothing to do with your problem, you have a mistake somewhere if it's crashing with your mod enabled.
