Siege battle CTD

Need help really badly. I just finished a crusade on Acre playing on normal/normal with savage AI permanent arrows and towers,Disable Real Recruitment and Longer Assimilations. I have a windows 7 64 bit OS and a good rig. Now after finishing the crusade and settling in I see that Jerusalem is being besieged by the fatmids, TCS being my allies I raise my crusader army to fight the heathens! Now there are two stacks of fatmids at jerusalems gates. REGARDLESS of which one I choose to fight my game when at the loading screen for the battle the screen wit the quotes and the loading bar beneath a CTD occurs where I get some unspecified error forced the game to close down to desktop. Does anyone have a fix for this or can spend some time to help me out? I've searched other threads and posts and tried to fix the issue myself but nothing will work.

Ive tried the Direct x9 method but it says a newer version is detected,no need for install and that was normal for the fix but that didnt work (If that isnt the case I will try it again but do inform me if I am wrong

I've tried updating the RBAI but I assume i installed it wrong and such but I played with that and it was still going on.

Ive tried fighting the enemy armys without my general and that doesnt seem to work either.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

P.S. I have no submods installed.
