now it says its Parthia's vassal but it doesn't do anything on the map meaning, when i declare war they are not seen a vassal i can use for support

That is odd. Might have to wait and see if Dresden has any ideas. Here's just a run through of what you should have did if you didn't

Faction Array Numbers and Faction Values. This is just for quick reference in the startpos. As of 0.95h DEI

Also, just to let people know our startpos has gotten even more complicated. So if you want to build one from scratch there are even more things you have to add (Mercenaries, garrisons...etc)

Hello guys, been using your mod since its first steps, enjoy it a lot, only thing that bothers me is the region ownership thing that i cant get around to figuring out. Basically i only play as Rome, somehow i want to figure out how to add Syracusae and Lilybaeum so i have control over the Magna Graecia from the start of my campaign, theres a lot of reasons for that but mostly its for the purpose of more passive play that i like, i hate going in to war at the very start unless someone forces me in to by declaring it on me. I like to build up stable economy first, use my navy and agents to explore the world and establish trade connections. Using pfm i found some entries in startpos (region_ownerships_by_theatre) i found the numbers under which the province and towns in it were listed, change it to rom_rome but it has 0 effect in game. What must i do to add those 2 cities to my faction? I would be very thankful if you could help me as this is thing alone is what prevents me to play the game the way i want to play it. I dont need an extensive guide on how to change cultures, buildings in towns or whatever, i will just rebuild stuff and use governors and edict to romanise the regions, only need to have those 2 settlements under my control from the beginning. Hope you can help.

    Thanks.

Yeah I´m interested if there has been any kind of advancement concerning region ownership...
Is it possible without doing a new startpos from scratch?
Or maybe it´s possible to edit it in saves?

Changing region ownership is extremely complicated if you are doing it in an existing startpos. It can be done but it is not an easy task.

Could you provide me with a link to some sort of tutorial? And if so, could you also provide me with pointers on it´s adequacy? I wouldn´t like to destroy game balance.
My target would be to add back Nova Carthago and Lybia, so the region ownership would be amongst factions with the same culture. Does this make a difference?

Since they are factions that are currently "dead" in the startpos, moving regions to them would probably not work.

And of course, since CA is being CA, it is way to complicated to "revive" them...

Could one set their intended territories to rebellion, and thus revive them?

Hi,currently I am editing a mod overhaul that makes Judea playable in both GC and IC. Someone else made it and I am just making it a 4 turns per year version and some unit editing. I was wondering if there is a way to make a DEI version?

In the Augustus campaign it would be fairly easy since they are already a faction I believe. The GC would be much more difficult since you would have to make a new startpos.

How would I go about doing that?

Its extremely complicated. The main thread in this post has some of what you have to do, but its way more now. Just to name some of the things off the top of my head (changes from vanilla) -
    Starting regions for many factions
    All Starting unit sizes
    All starting garrison entries
    All Mercenary entries
    AOR region tags
    Every building entry
New religion entries in every region
    Faction playable unlocks

And thats just to name a few. Its...very prohibitive unfortunately. You may be able to get by with just doing AOR region tags, mercenaries, region ownership changes and the buildings. But then religions (cultures) would be messed up. The time invested is simply ...extremely high. Trust me I have done it a few times

Hmmmm, since I am very new to this I think ill leave it alone I guess, though I would like to play as Judea in the grande campaign with DEI.I just started a Macedon campaign and I'm having a lot of fun with it.I guess you wouldn't be planning on making judea playable in DEI are you?and thanks for the help.

Well...that's unfortunate. That's exactly what I opened this thread to learn how to do. I was hoping to give Saba the rest of its starting province. I've been enjoying playing as them, but I rather dislike single-region starts. I know absolutely nothing about modding though, so a process that someone with extensive experience considers overly convoluted is probably well beyond me.

It is extremely annoying to change in an existing startpos. The amount of work is basically prohibitive.

This guide probably isn't updated anyway, sadly. You could use ABH2's files in the AE submod thread and make a startpos using the Kit possibly.
