What Lusted said... and sorry but I just need to add - I love the return of the small battle HUD! The big, clumsy one from Rome was way too big.
I don't think that this is a very important issue. I'm sure that there will be keyboard buttons that you can use to adjust the speed, if it is not convenient for you that way. Personally I don't mind because I hardly ever used it in RTW anyway.
Apart from the end of the battle of course when I used to chase the enemy and kill as much as I could before they left the battlefield.
The speed toggle buttons and the pause/play button sometimes wouldn't work on my first click. I guess that will be fixed in the final game.
And the speed numbers should be corrected to be:
1x
2x
3x
Because it's like saying 3"times" the normal speed, heh heh.

And the problem will be merely a display one. As I am going to use minimal UI if possible, I don't think it'll trouble me to much. Still I agree on the things said about the dot. I also thought of x10; x20; x30...Originally Posted by Flogger

I don't see why we can't have that 0-100% time compression interface which we had in Medieval 1. I guess, it's considered too complicated?![]()
too bad for you. the point you made that it's difficult to use when ur focusing on the battle is utterly contradictory. you aren't supposed to be using it in the battle...I hate the new time compression toggle!
Everyone, listen to Flogger. Also, I do not like the triangles as I do miss them and it is a real pain to go from 3.0 to 1.0 in order to issue more orders when you keep missing. Truly a pain.

its better than the old one. On super fast speed you couldnt even press the button.
The thing that I really hate is that you cannot return to normal speed while in pause mode. In other words, if you pause while going 3x speed, then you must unpause in 3x speed. This was not true in Rome you could come out of pause in regular speed.

i dont see anything wrong with that
i actually like it![]()
Um caruje, Snaga klade valja!!!
thats the worst part, alot of times in rome when it lags on 3x speed i have to pause or it wont go to 1x speed.
Lets say your comp has an unexpected lag hiccup and you cant pause to save your ass. Then your general gets killed since he was shot by arrows while you tried to frantically change back from 3x speed.
can you slow it down? maybe less than normal...I know there are some sweet death animationons i would love to see in slowmotion...
