Hello people, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a technical quandary. Is there any point in me replacing my 6600GT 256mb with a x1600pro 512mb? would there be a better performance and if so how much? Ta.

A very little upgrade, if any at all, a waste of money overall. The least you should get is the X1900 or a 7900, they have cards to suit all but the lowest of bugets, and will certianly play todays games on max, and tomoworws.Originally Posted by Markas

No point at all, I think 6600GT might beat that X1600. If you happen to have a PCI-e slot, then get at least 7600GT. =) Remember, that video memory means actually nothing in those cards.

After looking at the cards, it would be a waste of money, especially for the AGP.
