Default Problems with PFM + Schema

    Hello everyone

It has been a while since i did any editing ( i have been enjoying RTW and its simple text based editing to change unit strength etc) and recently i tried to change the unit attack and upkeep values for the rome 2 game. unfortunately, i have been having some issues with the pfm.

I downloaded the latest pfm and the schema linked in the same post. but everytime i try to open it, it gives me an error. only once did i get pfm to open and load the tables from R2 but when i clicked on those tables nothing would happen.

I know this is a noobish question, but can someone plz tell me how i can edit the unit strenght like malee and range attacks and the upkeep values? that is all i want to do.

    This one works for me
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-%29-DBE-fixes

on the top menu under [Game], you select RTW/ETW as needed,
    you will edit patch2.pack db unit_stats_land_tables\unit_stats_land & projectiles_tables\projectiles

That is the link i used to download both the PFM and the linked schema file. but when i replace it and open, nothing comes up. i only got pfm to open once where i only gave the directory to my R2 folder when it asked me for the rtw location. but i did not enter it for the NTW or ETW dialog box. that was the only time i got it to open.

I read that i need to give that folder location for all dialog boxes, but when i do, PFM does not open and instead gives me that same error that is mentioned on the first page of that link.

do i need to update something for it to work? i am running patch 1.8 atm as 1.9 crashes my game. does that have anything to do with it? do i HAVE to have the update 1.9 before i can edit those values?

I think your issue is you need to direct path of the program,
it would crash for me now when i started the pack manager, but didnt have the external drive connected which has the ETW game,
so guessing you would need to specify directory of game, and that might be with packfilemanager.exe.config,
    i cant remember
