    Icon7 Giants, Chaos war Mammoth and Daemon Prince in 1.5.1

    Hi guys !
    I wanted to ask if there is a way to have the giants in patch 1.5.1 as well as the Chaos war Mammoth and the Daemon Prince.
    I would also like to know if I can increase the size of the trolls or other unit that I was expecting bigger before playing.

    solved with the giants! just copy the description of that found in the file export_descr_unit of 1.4.4 and 1.5.1 of the insert in the same file. this is done, you have to make them easily recruitable in the file export_descr_buildings. In fact, their animations go in spurts and they die instantly so I also increased hit points in their description (in particular the second number after the decimal point, because they are registered as cavalry and I think that's the problem). however I have not had crashes and now I have my giants on the battlefield

    There are giants in the mod?
    I've never seen them. How recruit them?

    if you go to check in the folder of the mod still has the files. meshes and textures but basically if you do not change anything'll never see it follow the instructions I wrote above.

    I do not know, I did not make the mod I just wanted to use the giants with the greenskins and spending a bit of time I have solved part of the thing (I can not have them in a custom battle). I repeat that I did not crash until now, I just want to share for those interested in a way to use them. in fact they are stronger (not before having modified hit points but otherwise crack at the first shot)

    In previous versions it wasn't possible to have 1 soldier in a unit and I believe other bugs were associated with them as well. There are plans to add them in 1.6 tho. They changed it as per 1.5.0 if I remember correctly.
    I'm not sure how the Giants function on the battle map or when used in Auto-resolve but I'm pretty sure they're unbalanced at the moment. You could however change the stats yourself and make it balanced. As for the War mammoth and Daemon princes I don't believe the Mammoth exists in the mod but there are Daemon princes for all chaos factions which you'll have a certain % per turn to be spawned for you. These Daemon princes however are not single units and are used as Generals and have a "normal" size. Once again you could alternate the files yourself ( At your own risk ) to make it as you wish.

    what files I need to modify to change the size? I tried to edit the files. mesh with milkshake using the scale function but not good due to animations or skeleton ... I tried with the trolls and after using the scale game will put your feet under the ground, then I also tried to use to lift them move their feet .... they had the right height but the arms were disproportionate and i think because of the skeleton. Can you tell me a better way? I would be very grateful

    I think certain units were causing crashes in night time battles or in day battles whenever the torches were being used. Same reason the dire wolves were removed. sad.

    They should work hard on bringing them back into game and fixing them. But they may have to make the giants like they did the trolls by making them infantry.

    I hope not, already these "trolls" make me pretty disgusting as well as ogres ... what sense does it kill you to work to make something that is not as it should be, rather not do and amen. To you'd like a "giant" in the top 1 cm more than an ogre? you like these trolls more than 1 cm in height in a human? I do not want to criticize the work of others, but some choices are questionable

    Please do take in mind that this mod has been made for Medieval II, the engine of the game has it limitations. In the Vanilla game there were no such units as Giants and Trolls. The height of the units has been made like this for reasons. You could experiment yourself if you feel like it and maybe you can come up with something that is more to your liking.

    All giants, trolls and other princes are already added to the mod in 1.6 and they do not cause any crashes anymore. If somebody do not like sizes, proportions, disagree-with-creators-in-something-and-whant-to-do-as-they-see-and-they-like they can go into the forest do everything by themselves=), instrumentary exist for ages and everything is in their hands. =)

    Do you mean there will also be greater demons, i mean the giant ones not the small general ones, because that would be awesome?

    ok maybe I was a little harsh in my previous post, but I just wanted to complain! I'm already trying to increase the size as I wrote above, and now I have the problem of skeletons and animations and do not have much time to devote to what I would like. I did not understand if one of you is directly linked to the creators of the mod if you do not own one of them, since you have already experienced it all, there is the issue of pass through gates in sieges for the giant? if so why not give him a chance to attack the walls as a weapon of siege? Could be a way around the problem or is it just my imagination?

    Ahahahaha, you make me laugh so much, ahaha! No offence man, but answer is in your post: try to learn something about modding, then start to give advices. I do not say, that there is something impossible, hell tactical settlements was impossible to mod some time ago after all, but fact is that if something is not changed yet, there was some REASONS for it, dont you think? =))

I just hope you understand that there was no intention to offend anyone, indeed, thank you guys for this mod that gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of warhammer without spending a fortune in models to paint. Only if you let me take advantage of your skills I wanted to ask you a question: the trolls in 1.6 are the same size as 1.5.1 or can I hope in some small increase? and the giant dimensions will have more or less?

    I'm not going to speak for the Team of the mod ( Cause I'm no part of it ) but they will most likely be increased in size yeah.

    PS: Giants could be made like elephants so they could attack gates but won't be able climb Ladders/towers.

    I think that's a bit selfish to ask honestly. It's a fantasy world with little to no connection to reality.
    Its in the name: Warhammer Fantasy

    In the world where anything and everything exists, and the classic good vs evil, people use it to expand their imaginations because little games offer it elsewhere. To this extent, or just a fantasy genre in general.

    And to see THIS, this beautiful creation, this spawn of a team of very handsome and hard working (and assumingly), men.

    I wish not a single thing put down from its true purpose and form, and everything used to its full potential. Basically, I don't think the masses can agree with small trolls, since it goes against ANY lores you'll find.

    However, if larger units are bringing you down, learn to take em' down. Projectiles work beautifully. Be like me and treat the Empire like some 18th century Britain. Mass up nothing but guns, form lines, fire in volleys, and charge with courage. Like true gentlemen.

    My point after all this? Trolls are large, and should be nothing less. Men are men, and have been made so, so why should anything be less of what it really is? I think I can get some backup on that.
