Dual Processor question

I'm planning on buying a new computer and I'm trying to chose between processors. I read here that MTW2 doesn't support dual processors. Does that mean the game will run worse on a core dual then it will on a single processor machine? If I do get a core dual will I have to modify anything to run the game?

I believe MTW will just run on one processor exclusively while windows and other programs run in the backround on the other processor. I'm guessing Alt-Tab will be better than ever? :hmmm:

yes obviously MTW2 WONT OFFICIALY support DUAL PROCESSORS because average joes won't even buy dual processors PC lol

just a reminder : dual core =/ dual processors
dual processors are the one that can be found in socket 940 Opterons or the similiar socket in Intel Xeons, meanwhile in the future AMD will likely bring it 4x4 platform which containing dual X4/FX X4 socket that supporting up to 8 cores.....

Will the game run slower as a result? I would imagine that individually the processors are weaker then one.

It would not run significantly slower, but dual-cores of comparable price usually perform less capably in games than single cores.
