Forage
How does one's campaigning army forage for food? How does tile devastation work and what is it's significance? Is there any other traits rather than "rationing, belts tightened or starving" while on campaign? How does one combat those issues and gain the forage trait?

Re: Forage
I think that only nomad generals get the forager trait and they get supplies from devastating the tile's resources. I'm not sure though. I'm interested in the answers to this question too so I hope someone supplies a better answer.

Re: Forage
I think the foraging trait helps put off the rationing trait, at least for a while. Devastating tiles cuts into the enemy faction's income, which is why you should get rid of enemy or rebel armies loitering in your proinces.

Re: Forage
If you select the rationing traits it says that you can minimize effects if you devastate or pillage an area (can't remember exactly how it says) but is that actually true? I've never noticed any reduction of those traits when on enemy territory at all.
What I do, if a little gamey, is for example I'm besieging a settlement and I want to wait it out until the last possible turn, it doesn't take but a few turns until the general gains the starving or similar traits so I move him to my side of the nearest border and make him wait on a fort or friendly settlement if available until he gains the fully supplied trait. I rationalize it as his staff going back home to get supplies. Never experienced the supply trait to get positive by devastating a tile, and I like to wait to the last turn on sieges.

Re: Forage
After watching more carefully it seems devastating a tile with a FM does indeed lowers the rationing trait by one.
Congrats to EB team on such an immersive feature.
