Default windows Vista RC2 - where the hell is it?

I have been a beta tester since Vista Beta and I have RC1. I keep hearing about having RC2 released to the public a few days ago.
    http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=16092
    Question:

Where the hell is the download link for it? Why wasn't I notified like before the RC1 release?

I have this page, but this only lists the RC1 download:
    http://download.windowsvista.com/pre...n/download.htm

I keep getting the main page with not one f....ing word about RC2, but only RC1
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/

    i'm pssd.

That links to the page you've already established but it does say that if you can see it, your in the beta which may means they excluded some individuals (fixed number of testers).

The link for RC2 doesn't seem to work anymore. It was, as they said, for a limited time only apparently.

What do you mean "limited time only" ??

So, basically signing up in the summer time for beta tester, I still gotta participate on some sort of "race for the webpage" ?

Why wasn't I notified in an email - at least - that it's available?

    Here you go Microsoft:

I'm gonna go write them the nastiest email for their damn PR team.......they can go wipe their arse with their vista..

Yeah, on the download page it said limited time only. I downloaded it from the link from this post:

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showp...8&postcount=75

But that download link doesn't work anymore, it just goes back to the main page.

Anyways, it doesn't feel any different. The only thing I've noticed is that the little system ranking feature works again.

And I'm guessing those thumbsdown smilies should be something else. :tooth:

Ok, hold on, it suppose to be a better version (read: patched up somewhat) of Vista, right? I mean, that's what I've read.

So If i can prove, that I got my key for my previous version, why the hell I cannot have it?

And you are wrong about RC1 versus RC2 not being different. Maybe you think so, by looking at it and messing around, but I have sent a couple of bug reports to microsoft for RC1 and RC2 suppose to be free of those.

HG, I have been testing windows since Windows 3.1 all the way to winXP.

So what if I'd like to try it if they really fixed it?

I also know, there are more bugs to go, but I guess they want to know my opinion.

Is this how they value their beta testers?

I basically worked for them for free, and now they throw me away like a toilet paper after use?

Basically they set a limit on the number of downloads. When that number is reached (as is apparently the case with RC2) then they pull it down. But then again, it doesn't really make any sense why they wouldn't just replace RC1 with RC2. Microsoft is weird.

Archer, you have an official key. The only thing you're missing is the software itself. And you don't necessarily need the Microsoft links.....

I wasn't joking when I said "before Microsoft changes their mind."

And yea, since you got the key, you can install it. Just need to get a copy.

There was 200k download limit on RC2 for the public and mircosoft said on there vista blog all of 200k download were used up by 72hours from first posting the links and did not think the 200k limit would go so quickly

Special thanks go out to everyone who participated in the CPP by downloading and installing this new build, and please keep the feedback coming -- it makes a huge difference.
