I'm guessing that he wanted stricter gun laws so that he could sell illegal weapons to criminals and terrorists for higher prices. Nicely played.

Ths case involved the sale of illegal weapons, a crime syndicate and the FBI. The main issue is the lack of any effective monitoring system for political donations, without which, pocketing a politician seems very easy unless you yourself are criminal or linked directly to them.
