I am guessing not, never seen anything to do with English spearmen with pavises. English infantry was overwhelmingly made of archers, boosted by men-at-arms on foot. Also, English infantry was known for the use of the bill (as you can see from MTW2 itself ).

I know, this is also my guessing, but i want to be sure. Vanilla total war took almost all the units form the ospreys' men at arms book series ( thank god for that so they have a gredit. But France clearly used spearmen with pavises on the field and during siegies on the 100 years war, and i allready made one such unit for them, but i dont know, english didnt follow on this? i mean, French borrow the longbow eventually

I am guessing that if the English used pavises (not spearmen specifically) it would've been when besieging cities/castles. The Hundred Years War was mainly sieges, especially in the 15th century.
If you've done the work already you can still introduce them but with some modification. Maybe reduce the soldiers in the unit and increase the shield value in EDU.

Someone with better knowledge than me may give better advice, I'm sure. But looking at battle orders for the English, outside archers and men-at-arms, other infantry would've been basic levy or used two-handed weapons like bills. Also, pavises were used in the high/late middle ages, right? At this stage English infantry was very narrow in composition- mostly arches and some tough men-at-arms (including dismounted knights).

Do you have a picture of the pavise spearmen you've been working on?

Where were the instructions? What I've done is, importing the attachement files in the unit_models/attachment folder and overwriting the battle models.db. But whenever I launch a battle, it CTD's.

I believe this is compatible with v2.3.

Would an update for Version 3.0 be possible?

@Garensterz: If I overwrite the battle models.db. with the one in the mod, it gives me a ctd right on starting the game. So i used the old battle models.db. and it seems to work for me and the new shields are actually there. Anyone has an idea for that install instructions mentioned at first post? I canīt find them in downloaded folder.

The French didn't borrow the longbow. They borrowed the idea of lots of archers in the army.
