I realise it may be a little to release Historical Battles (especially for BI) but I've made so many and I wanna share.

So for your delectation here is the Battle of Adrianople 378AD:









Now with a hint of scripting.

Its reeeeaaaalllly easy to install... so give it a go and see what you think .

It is the summer of 378 AD. The imperial army of the Eastern Roman Empire has marched north from Constantinople to deal with a horde of refugees.

A throng of Gothic barbarians have crossed the Danube and attacked the eastern roman city of Adrianople. The army led by the emperor of the east, Flavius Valens, has arrived to deal with these troublesome asylum seekers. The Goths have been gradually moving south after being forced from their homelands by tribes such as the Huns.

Valens' scouts have brought him good news - they see that the Gothic force is smaller than they feared and are cowering inside their wagon lager! However, they have missed one vital piece of information - the Gothic cavalry are off pasturing their horses and will soon return. In an effort to buy time Fritigern, the Goth leader, has sent a Christian priest to enter into peace negotiations. However events have got out of control - a group of Roman soldiers have broken away and attacked the Gothic warriors!

There is now no turning back, Valens must take control of his men and destroy the Goths in the lager before any nasty 'suprises' show up.

P.P.S Just updated the intro sequence. The roman archers will attack the Goths against Valens' orders. Looks pretty cool!
