    Default Battle framerate issues

    Hello all,

So this is my issue. It's somewhat strange actually. My campaign runs perfectly fine. Heck, I can run Shogun 2 maxed out so I'd hope I could run Medieval flawlessly. However though, when I enter the battle map, after about a minute or so my games framerate drops ridiculously low. I'm talking to the 3-6fps range. When I alt+tab out of the game and then bring the game back up, it will do the same thing, run great for a minute then horribly again. Any ideas? I've done just about everything I could think of minus anything dealing with the files. No mods either and I'm running the steam version.

    My PC Specs are:
    Windows 7 32bit
    Intel i7 3ghz
    4g ram
    nVidia 250GTX SLI'd

Thanks for any help I can get!

Shogun2 is not part of this discussion as RTW Eras and M2TW's engine is a lot older.

    Laptop or desktop?
Is the game's profile set to Maximum performance in Nvidia Control Panel?
Have you tried it on just one card instead of SLI?

Absolutely irishron. I was only trying to give an idea . This is a desktop. And no, the game is not set to max in nVidia control panel. And I've tried both SLI and only the single graphic card.

As old as this game is and unoptimized as it is, have you checked the temps and voltages of your computer?

Assuming you are running FRAPS or a program like it, does it do better with this program disabled?
