    Default Food?

Hey guys. I'm not sure if I'm completely missing something obvious, or if there are just new mechanics for food, but I'm currently on turn 3, playing as Macedon. I've got 2 food in my stockpile, and I'd like to upgrade some of my cities. The problem is that I'm apparently unable to build farms - is there a resource that I need, or some other condition? Am I just supposed to use ports/temples?

Also, another off topic question - I downloaded the Historically Plausible Development submod. I downloaded the third party mod manager so I could choose to load that mod before DeI, but it says that they are conflicting in the 'campaign_difficulty_handicap_effects' packed filepath. Is this normal? Can I just ignore that, or did I do something wrong?

As Macedon you start with 2 cities. This cities are capital of provinces, where you aren't able to build agriculture buildings. Capture minor cities and there you can build some farms. Other solution is to build temple or agora building with food bonuses.

    Can't recall Macedon's building tree.
But Romans could actually go - Public forum -> Delicatessen which gives 5 food on basic level and minor amount of cash from culture and bonus on livestock wealth.
Pretty sure there is a similar building tree in the Macedonian as well.

Hellenes have the Inn city center line that provides some food.
