I really enjoyed the Band of Brothers and The Pacific HBO mini-series.

Something more fitting for DeI's time period would be arguably one of the only Hollywood movies to depict historical battle with any accuracy. Oliver Stone's 2004 movie Alexander, while not particularly outstanding in any other regard, manages to produce pretty stunning (and accurate where Hollywood's standards are at) visuals when it comes to their depiction of Gaugamela and Hydaspes.

My last one is going to be one word; snail. Although irredeemably vague, it's also incredibly specific as I don't think I've encountered a remarkable snail elsewhere... I wonder if anyone on the DeI sub-forum would get this, and it is in fact film/TV related (relatively recent too). If you get the reference name another a prominent animal/thing that in your opinion could rival or beat my fondness of the snail.
