What happened to the duplex acies formation for Rome
Great MOD! makes worth playing!
However playing as Rome the "duplex acies" formation button does not work...why is that?
"Roman battle-line as a double-line (duplex acies) with a small third line of reserve. It is this double line that constituted the most significant change from the previous single-line phalanx. The three lines of maniples were drawn up in a chessboard pattern (dubbed quincunx by modern historians, after the Latin for the "5" on a dice-cube, whose dots are so arranged"[

Are you referring to the multiple-unit formations? If so, I would suggest manually drawing up your units in battle lines. I would never leave anything as important as that to the finnicky AI to do for me.

I've always wanted, but neglected to ask CA for a formation save feature, I set my army up, click save custom formation, it gets added to a list for future use.

Do you mean the triplex acies? I don't remember seeing duplex acies and to get the triplex to work you need to use polybian units.

The formations don't work too well with the Camillan units because they are all classified as spearmen. Duplex and Triplex Acies should work for Polybian era units, or if you use swordsmen mercenaries/auxiliaries.
