Default What's all this about 'historical legions'??

I've seen the poll and all but I don't understand... where are the so-called historical legions in my game? I'm using the most recent version, but after setting up a custom battle with every available legion-unit I don't see any differences between how they look now, and the old .7 versions..?

Is this just to do with the campaign map? Unfortunately I've never played a campaign for more than 100 turns, so I never get close to even unlocking late-period legionary units; as such I don't know what the new changes are!

Some screen-shots would be brilliant, then I can voice my opinion

You will only see them in campaign.

Yeah, they're only available in campaign, the custom battle recruitment screen would be overloaded if all those different units were included in them. Screenshots won't do you anything to form an opinion (except for how aesthetically pleasing they might be), the concerns are with recruitment mechanics and how historical the whole set up is along with the cohorts (not the legions, but each individual recruitable cohort) having preassigned legion names and numbers in their unit names.
