Cannons can't destroy ships. (sengoku period)
I have had a bunch of navy battles where I am raining down cannon balls on the wooden ships. They are stupid sometimes and just sit there but they rarely sink. Is this glitch? I use radius by the way. Do the other mods or vanilla have the same problem?

As far as I know, cannons could sink wooden boats easily in earlier versions of Shogun 2, but these days after all the patches its incredibly difficult to do so, but I don't think its completely impossible. Its also complicated a bit by the fact that the cannons on the Nanban ships now no longer reload properly. Funny, the unit still kicks ass without working cannons.

I do remember the cannons once were much more dangerous but The Black Ship can still sink ships. Now though the primary strength of the Galleons is their musketeers.

The O Atake Bune was ruined, it was supposed to have like 2 decks full of cannons and a bit bigger than what we actually got. I'm assuming that with that much fire power it would cause a boat to sink. I mean the Nanban trade ship has way less cannons but once I did see it sink an entire ship. Not sure about the Black Ship with its multiple guns though.
