Default Former British Labor leader Tony Benn dies

I'll admit that I don't know all that much about Tony Benn, but his five questions to power have been making the rounds here on American facebook and it sounds like the man led quite an exemplary life even if some of his left-wing views seem a bit radical.

I'd like to hear more from our UK posters about what's happening across the pond. What are your thoughts on Benn and how is his death being perceived?

A man of principle, and from what I understand interesting to listen to.

Gave up a hereditary peership to remain in the House of Commons. Obviously couldn't hold a pony to Tony.

A man not afraid to call other MPs on their crap. RIP.

He was funny when being interviewed. He had a knack of looking away from the interviewer to continue his charming tirade, the looks were half the battle and still are in getting anyone to stop speaking so you can badger them with questions some more. Very good chap.

I disagreed with some of his politics but surprisingly found him agreeable on others.

He was ok, what else is happening across the pond, is that former mp Boris Johnson may be making a return, which im cynical about, tends to have a loose tongue which could be dangerous, and his personnal tie's are questionable. But he is funny, some of the stuff he comes out with is amusing with the public.

Politicians have to connect with the electorate, or at least, a targetted demographic.

And Boris has prime ministerial urgings.
