KAM, what preset do you use for GEM? It looks great! Do you use it for screenshots only, or is it just as good looking during gameplay?

Actually it looks much better in the game as not all effects save when I take screenshots with steam.
I simply use Ad Finitum preset

Finished (finally) my 1.1 test campaign as the Nervii. Here's a few screenshots. Can't promise they're any good. No GEM or anything here. I haven't been able to get GEM to work on my new laptop running Windows 10. Figure I messed up installing it. Should try to reinstall it sometime.
First up, I've been using this one as my desktop wallpaper. Ueragri (Nervii veteran swordsmen) advancing in the early morning.

Next, the AI breaking down, failing to respond to encirclement by the player.

And a map bug. This battle was somewhere in Suebia near Ascaucalis, I think.

As you probably know, the Nervii are renowned for their expert ambushing tactics. Here's a Nervii amphibious unit executing a classic underwater maneuver.

AOR Herunautoz unit. Guy on the left: "Really, you two brought the same armor, shield pattern, and haircut to battle? How embarrassing."

Another one that might make a nice wallpaper. Remi Mairepos (Nervii Medium Cavalry) and some clouds in Iberia.

Almost forgot this one. I made one army mostly out of Italian AOR units. Thought it was funny.

Okay, now some battle screenshots (what you're probably interested in ). First up, some shield patterns climbing a ladder.

More shield patterns, this time walking down stairs on the walls of Garama. When I close my eyes, all I see are shield patterns.

Later in the same battle... the AI really isn't careful with friendly fire. Or this guy just wasn't well-liked.

And the last moments of the fight for Garama.

To finish, here's a picture of the map at the end of the campaign. Sorry I never sent my spies to check which factions controlled the East. I ended up allying with Macedon against the Seleucids to satisfy the victory condition to hold all of Galatia and Cappadocia. Thought it would take less time to take a few Seleucid cities than fighting through both Epirus and Macedon at that point (they were allied). Also check it out - Epirus survives 400 turns. Barbarian campaigns take so long, since allies don't count for the "hold 80 regions" condition, and you can't make client states.

really nice screenshots and very funny comments! Damn, we need more patterns, maybe around 100 for each unit?
Yes, more patterns! Bigger texture sizes! More headaches for Dresden!
Great comments on those
Triple javelin headshot is overkill
