Actually I was. While I was playing with Romans and driving Saba out of Mesopotamia an axle of evil had formed up in the north. Suebi, Lugii and Treverii had formed a military alliance and overthrown my puppet Siraces from Bosporus - and were now threatening Mithridates' snakeoilfields in Caucasus! Wasn't really expecting to assault fortified germanic harbor as Persians - don't think I've ever even seen one ever in RTW! With some men to spare to cut a few throats Xerxes the unjust then launched operation BaktriaTon ( from the ton of cameldung men would need to scoop out of transports after the trip from Phoenicia ) against this TriReich.
Some traitorous greeks liberating one of their towns during D-day ( the day Darius was chosen as successor )

Ah, seems like you're having fun buddy![]()
Doom came.. Satrapies declared indepence. I didnt thought much of it, as i was thinking i will be one to declare war to them. Now im screwed. XD Majority of my armies are far in west. I cant even raise new armies as i got limit. Satrapies atacking my cities undefended throughout empire, as they were roaming my teritories to atack my distant enemies, while we were alies.. To be honest im enjoying this, as it became ultra hard.

The Picture of the Year 2018 and Game Picture of the Year 2018 competitions are finally here if you guys are interested.
Hey guys, glad you liked the pics. I just recently upgraded to a 9900k so I can finally play with 30+ fpsthough it's still not smooth if I go for hd texture addons. I posted my list and presets a few months ago (shouldn't have changed too much) but here's the latest:
GemFX Preset

Most are from steam, except for DEI and vfextended (that one you have to manually change to a movie in PFM and make read only. I may have changed the numbers in it though I'm not 100% sure.
The absolute best graphics would be enabling all of celticus's HD textures (though I personally don't like some of the terrain visuals) and using something like cheat-engine to increase draw distance, fix night lighting etc but I don't even know if the guy who published those presets is still around.
For a performance setup I would just use nohdr, visual_effects and divide_et_gerula. Those three drastically improve the look of the game even without GEMFX in my opinion.
It can vary based on the map you get but I usually set brightness to 20 and gamma between 14-18.
I spent a long time in GEMFX before I got a preset that I felt was playable and looked decent, hopefully it'll feel the same for you guys.
