I appreciate the praise, Skotos. It means a lot.
Yea, that DoF effect was no joke. Very tricky.
I'v actually been running with with the true color shader for a while now.

A few moreand thanks Alex for the PM I'll get around top using them by tomorrow and having some screenshots ready with them hopefully.
@Greekstrategos, yeah I dropped the faster battle now that I've started this. I actually liked the slower battles unless its a siege battle which often takes to an hour to finish which can be a huge drag sometimes.

Excellent shots Wilson and as Skotos mentioned DOF is very well balanced in your pics.
Keep it up guys![]()
Thanks, Alexander. I might have to slow down, though
Concerning the DoF--didn't know it was there lol. I hadn't really explored the GEM configurator too much before and recently started looking at all the tabs and I ended up coming across it. I activated it and started playing around and ended up with some great stuff (though 95% ended up too blurry for my taste). Honestly, I didn't care for the effect at first, but I was lining up the shots wrong and got subpar results.

Just fought one of the most epic battles in recent total-war memory! My two Roman armies vs three from the Odrysian kingdom. The terrain was mountainous as hell and the because of the new line-of-sight systems I managed to get the ball dropped on me twice! Essentially I was fighting two battles at the same time as I was ambushed before my forces could link up. It really came down to the wire, in the end my Velites managed to hold an essentially part of the line just before my Socii Equites showed up and managed to break the Thracian line.
Snapped a couple pics but they don't quite capture the full extent of the carnage!

A big thanks to all members of the DEI time for giving me this awesome experience!
I really like lighting during the hillside fighting. Beautiful! Also love seeing Polybians. Nice shots. Looks like a fun engagement.
Sounds like a really sweet battle![]()

Same. People tend to prefer the iconic post-Marian legions, but the Polybians are my favorite. They are more varied in appearance. The post-Marian Romans look so uniform. The auxiliaries help with that, but not by much.
Are you aware of any submods that keep the campaign in the Polybian time frame?
