Typically I'll to the widescreen bars once I feel the battle is well in-hand. In this case, I felt this way immediately, lol. Cappadocia was going to give up that booty no matter what. When the HUD is active in my games, I still disable the floating flags. I try to make my battles feel as cinematic and atmospheric as possible, even in serious battles. This was me about 4-5 turns into a fresh campaign, trying to take the Cappadocian settlement with the iron resource.

Oh man, that’s hard! I thought I was good at this game, but you all are a different class of gentlemen. I just tried this today and if I’d been fighting any actually challenging battles would have had my butt handed to me. Do you play with battle realism as well? It’s hard to see the enemies and to know who’s broken, waivering, etc. without being able to pause or use the map.

It does make the battle immersive though. Like I really get the soldier in the middle who has no f’ing idea what’s happening around him. I’m totally immersed with that guy.

Yea, man its great! It does take some getting used to. I tried to get my brother doing it but it confuses him. You do get used to it, though. I dont play with battle realism.

kopasus, those are great! My favorite is the naval one. Don't see those often enough. I might try to get more settlement and naval screens going.

Hi mate! I can't see your screens. Apparently you're doing something wrong. In order for your pictures to see everybody , you have to give a link to the image correctly. To do this, click on this icon (insert image). In the window that opens
