Very inspirational DMW! I have to play a campaign like that again.
Thanks!
After taking a hiatus, this campaign has been an absolute blast. It's been a while since I've done over 100 turns.
Finally having some fun with Alexander campaign

A masterpiece Falco!
Falco you put together celticus' reskin and Dei? Can you make a submod with that?
Sorry only a personal one that won't be released, as I do not have permission from Celticus and friends (they have also stated they will not be releasing a DeI submod of Rome 2 HD unfortunately). Only thing I can say is learn how to mod units and make one, If I learnt on my own anyone can .
Sory made a mistake with this post, can someone remove it?

Im (attempting) to play a migration campaign as Rome, the classic Italy-to-Britain voyage. It is very significantly more difficult with DEI, for sure! Two full "mercenary" legions, stuffed with troops from Magna Graecia. Leukanoi Hoplitai prove to be quite effective against the hordes of Celts, while the Bruttii infantry are unfortunately not up to par with most of the more heavily armored Britons. Tarantines make up the majority of the support infantry, with the versatile Thureophoroi on the flanks, and the outdated but veteran Ekdromoi in reserve. The Tarantine cavalry is so far utterly dominant, with the Celts unable to put out anything that can counter it. Lastly, several hundred archers from Carthaginian Sardinia. I don't know why I was able to recruit them in Magna Graecia, but I still have good relations with Carthage, so I just consider them a nice gift. No doubt Carthage is very supportive of my plan to leave the entire Mediterranean to them.
The campaign has been surprisingly difficult. Defeating the Epirotes took awhile, and then the Aetolian League and Macedonia both decided to attack me as well. By the end of it, the entirety of Greece was either my ally or my vassal kingdom. Syracuse declared war on me, and then a dominant Getae destroyed my Illyrian allies and is currently in a war with the various Greek kingdoms and cities.
Meanwhile, half my army is invading Britain. A single fleet made of the most basic Roman ships has so far been able to destroy at least five full Celtic 'fleets', though it is now almost non-existent.
I am planning on using my two remaining armies to recruit as many settlers as I can, as well as at least one actual fleet with good warships to protect the massive migration flotilla.

So idk if i was the only one experiencing this, and perhaps this isnt the right thread for this, but it involves a screenshot im proud of i guess? lol.. but, i was seeing a lot of slinger spam by early rome that would lead to their rapid expansion, so i decided to see what would happen--in addition to other selective changes to help guide more logical early expansion, as i saw them--if i removed access to AOR slingers and accensi slingers. and they seemed to have coped rather well, forming early legios. satrapied etruria, repelled the epirotes, then repelled a gallic invasion. all without being abusive rockbiters
just being good ole spear chuckers!
