Getting too old for violence these days, not as young as i used to be,but given enough time and incentive i can get very grumpy and even sulk for days
''THE WARRIORS WERE PAINTED BLUE AND OF A FEARSOME APPEARANCE''
Thank you. I'm going through a davinci + sepia period =D
My album's coming soon but I'm trying to get some shots with a different feel to give it some variety. What I'm really after is more fog/haze but I hate fighting battles in bad weather (plus I need sunlight for contrast) and the mods I've tried to get more particles break my other graphical mods.
I think I just need to bite the bullet and start playing in PFM to learn where all the knobs are but I'm being lazy about it.
I just had to share this epic and beautiful picture!

Nice shot!
What's happening in the bottom right by the way, is there another soldier there that got cut off by the camera? I've had that happen to me before.
Here are a couple from me:

Nice, that's an epic scene to capture. You probably already know this but something I try that helps sometimes is use the N key (might be different for you though I don't remember changing it from default) to zoom in or out. Sometimes I can get the closeup shot I'm trying to get by actually having the camera farther away and zooming.
Neat camera trick that is worth mentioning:
Only if you didn't already know, pressing K will hide EVERYTHING on your screen (UI, highlights, the little flags etc. etc.) and leave you with just a cinematic screen for which you can use your entire screen to frame your pictures with. Combine that with using N to zoom in and a lower camera mod of sorts, and you pretty much have the basic setup for making cinematic pictures.
Scroll wheel brings you up or down and depending on your setting a bit closer to the action as well. The N key is more like a telephoto zoom.
It affects the field of view and focal depth of the scene, because standing back and zooming in is going to give you different lines of sight then walking closer to something. Try it, it'll be easy to see what I mean then.
The part that I think some people might not know is that you can use the N key not just to zoom in but also to zoom out which then works like putting a wide angle lens on the camera. It's how I took some of my wider shots that show a broad view of the field of battle.
Jim posted some good tips about keyboard shortcuts for the UI. I'll add one more which is Alt+L for adding black bars above and below the picture to give that ultra wide cinematic look. Since I play at 2560x1600 I don't end up with a decent sized screenshot between the black bars (2560*1160 for me).
Of course you can do this trivially in Photoshop but depending on your lightning and gemfx settings sometimes it's useful to use this in game because it can help control some lighting issues and give a more focused look.

I was playing around with ReShade tweaks and was pretty impressed with the outcome.
Aside from noise, black borders and a bit more shadow definition, it's in-game.

I like the simplicity of it for vanilla (unedited) DEI

Great work mate you nailed it with the first two for me.

Jim Riley could you share your reshade preset?
So unfortunately my PC can't handle this game at max graphics, but that doesn't stop me from installing all the graphic mods.
Here are some recent shots...
