    There has been talk in the DaC thread and in Leo's Alternative Patch thread of some desire to see unit details in the description of the unit, for example the units morale value, their range and so on. It would like like this:

    Information

    \n\nMorale: 4
    \nMorale Response: Low/Normal/Disciplined
    \nStamina: Normal/Hardy/Very Hardy
    \nFights Best In: Scrub/Sand/Forest/Snow
    \nRange: 190
    \nAmmunition: 48
    \nSecondary Attack: 6




    (That last one is for cavalry only as they have almost always have a spear and a sword but the in-game info only gives their spear attack, after charging in they switch to swords so it would be helpful to know that value too.)

    My question is a simple one, would this be something people actually wanted to see.

    The argument for this would be that you can better understand your units, you can apply them in battle better and you will know which units are your real strengths and weaknesses. However, it would also make the game feel more like a game and less like you are actually commanding the unit on the battlefield, for example, in real life the only statistic of those listed that you would accurately know would be the units ammunition.

    I was wondering if it is possible to display the morale "dynamically" (I guess it's not) ? My point is related to the buildings giving a morale bonus. Indeed, a unit with a +1 morale hidden bonus and a unit without this bonus can't be differentiated.

    I have a tool that will auto-build this kind of info into the unit descriptions. It isn't released yet because I never quite finished making it 'user-friendly': manual, etc.

    Doing it by hand would be an arduous task, including keeping them up to date when the stats are changed.

    No, not possible. All of this info will be part of the unit's description text and that is static. It can only show "base" stats, before any kind of upgrades.

    It can be useful for those who want to know this kind of information and it will be useless for those who don't need/want to know them. Implementing them is a win/win situation in my opinion because of this factor. It's a little addition that will represent nothing to some users and a very important input for others... so, why not!
    For what concerns myself, yes, sometimes it could be useful for me!

    it may be a good idea to put it in the bottom of a description along with the region requirement for certain unis

    Absolutely. I don't really see the argument for it making TATW more 'game-y' since you already see a bunch of stats. Knowing more is ideal for me, especially for things like range and morale.

    absolutely yes.

    regarding generals, if someone cares, i implemented withwnar's tepi, so all attributes are showed
    i always play with them and never encountered slowing features

    I didn't really explain more gamey very well; it would also mean you get important information regarding your enemies units as well as your own. That being said, there has already been overwhelming response to the yes so it will most likely be done.

    Think you should have added an Abstain-option too hehe; I would personally never use it myself since it increase the technical and meta-gaming aspect which I do not fancy, so I do not vote Yes, but it's not like I mind if people like it and use it so I can't vote No

    Since DandC suffers from a case severe morale inflation, this should help me figure their relative morale rankings between units.

    The only other option would be for you to invent progressively elaborate descriptions for "excellent morale" to differentiate between mere militia and Galadrium Guards.
