Default Question regarding adding more units to FOTS.

    Hello guys.

So i have been playing some FOTS and i find the traditional unit roster for the Pro-Shogun Clans to be somewhat lacking.
What i'm really looking for is more elite traditional units to make it more fun playing for the Shogunate, so i was wondering if it is possible to get the elite samurai units from
vanilla Shogun 2 too work in FOTS?

Is it possible to get the vanilla elite units and the units that comes with the saints and heroes DLC to work in FOTS?

Thanks for any reply to my inquiry.

    Yes. It is easy.

However, why not adding realistic units?
    - Joushitai: naginata-wielding women from Aizu
    - Battotai: swordsmen with modern uniforms from Aizu
    - Shinchogumi: Edo police force
    - Kogekitai: melee surprise attack group from Sendai
    - Traditional police: policemen with nagae yari
    etc.
    My Mod:
    Shogun II Total Realism
A realism mod for Shogun II, Rise of the Samurai and Fall of the Samurai

    Thanks for the reply.

Inn regards to what you said about more realistic unit. well, thats just the thing. I have all of those units already, i especially like to use the Joushitai for the all samurai armies and the Battotai for the modern ones. However its just not enough for me, i need more variety and i really want to go all out with the "Sword vs Gun" battles.

I know that its not very realistic to have Sengoku Jidai units in FOTS but i think it will make for an interesting experience, at least for myself.

So if it is an easy task to get them working in FOTS its there a guide for this somewhere?

I'm not really that experienced when it comes to modding Shogun, i can change the unit stats and some other small things and thats about it.

Ironically, Battoutai, who were Sword-toting Imperial Tokyo Policemen made from ex-Aizu Samurai, in the end deployed against Satsuma, former supporters of Imperial Restoration...

Meh, Nakano Takeko with her Naginata...Nobody remembers Yamamoto Yaeko with Her Spencer Repeating Rifle?

Then, you can modify this particular mod to your personal liking:

    Won't be too hard.

Ok so i have found a new task i seemingly cant do. I wat to remove certain units form the time travel mod since the AI spams them and makes the game boring.

Problem is that when i try to use the PFM to get inside the pack files all of it is in red and will not allow me to do anything with it.

Also which line in the pack file are the soldiers located?, i need to delete specific units.

Yer most likely use the wrong version of PFM - either you're using an obsolete old one, or Rome2 PFM...

To delete, just delete the entries of units you don't want in units_to_groupings_military_permission

I have both PFM V 3.1.8 and V 3.1.5, according to what i read regarding the newest version of PFM it workes both for Rome 2 and Shogun 2.

When i try to open tw_units_to_groupings_military_permissions - version 0 in Time warp.pack and tw2_units_to_groupings_military_permissions in Time warp 2.pack

i get an error message saying fail to open......i dont know what to do, it should work.

So any one know what to do? I really need to delete some units, the AI keeps spamming them and the units are really bad.
