    Default Nuln's Independence!

Such a historic and mass producing piece of history has offered invaluable services to the empire, and continues to do so. It makes an absurd amount of money, produces high quality forces and powerful gun powder weapons and artillery.

Why should it not stand on its own feet?

I know that lore-wise its under control of Wissenland, but Nuln is more then fit to become a capital and has a lot more to offer then other imperial capitals. There is also alot of other lore where Nuln has its own banner in which troops carry to battle. In warhammer table top, it also has alot of its own material to work with, and not to mention Maiddenheim got its independence (despite a corrupt ruler at the time) and it preforms very good on its own feet, with a full stack of garrison and likely a growing amount of pocket change as well.

So why not? Give me some pros and cons.

In the next version, I personally think Nuln could be, would be, and should be a reliable one city state faction with its own count and govern their own selfs.

You mean you want them to be rebel held also?

They can't be their own faction since the medieval 2 engine limits factions to 31(including rebels). The currently open spots are saved for Skaven, Tomb Kings, Norscans, Brettonia, etc.

Ah, well thats understandable. And no, My ideal was that they become a selectable faction.

Only thing that sucks about medieval 2 is its physical limits, I played this other mod where you play on the entire world, and factions included japan and stuff, but the unit limit made new units spread thinly between all factions and alot of other old units taken away as well, and the faction limit and most of them were focused in europe.

Well, thanks for your hard work! I'd love to be a rich white guy and pay you thousands for your efforts, but sadly im a Native American in poverty. But let it be known you have my Ojibway tribe backing you up.

Nuln is semi independent. It's not the de jure capital of Wissenland, but the current Countess does hold court there and it is the largest city in the region, so it is the de facto capital of Wissenland. Nuln used to be the capital of the entire empire, so it's predigree is such that it's population wouldn't be satisfied if it weren't the de facto capital of such a large province, but it is, so it's fine.

The countess wants independence but she hasn't got it yet ,right? Though I can't see how can we get Britania without ruining the map or the Tomb Kings ? Or how the hell can the Skaven be implemented properly , while Norscans seem a bit boring .

I also think Marienburg as a faction would make WAY more sense than Nuln ,and would it be way more fun then some boring Norscans.

Independence from herself? That'd be weird. She's the countess of Wissenland, Wissenburg is her capital legally, but she rules from Nuln because she likes it better and Nuln is happy to be a capital again.

Hell no. Norscans are the most interesting faction. The only faction that can choose between good and evil. Starting off you play as Gustav "The holy warrior" Swer, High king of Norsca, king of the Bjornlings, lord of the kings of the Skaelings and the Sarls on a holy crusade to unite the remaining Norscan tribes to repel the next chaos incursion, but his possible heirs are many and envious and not all are so incorruptible as he, how much longer until the tribes of Norsca bend the knee to the chaos gods and join the incursion. That's way better than playing as the empire or chaos, it's totally different.

I made my own sub mod for cow that unites the chaos fractions together, the empire is united under one fraction and various other rebalancing to the overall game play (the empire can disintegrate into infighting fractions if the emperor is weak) does anyone know if i am allow to post my version?

    She is Wissenland.
Physically Nuln is mostly in Stirland and a bit in Averland, as a city state it has a degree of autonomy from these provinces in theory, but the Chancellor of the University and the Lady Mayoress is also the Countess of Wissenland, so while she lives and while the court of Wissenland is in Nuln it is very securely a part of the Province of Wissenland and is the Defacto capital.

I don't think there is any problem posting it here as sub-mod for the main-mod. Not sure tought if you can make new thread before making 25 posts in total (?), it is a limit for various actions here at TWC for obvious reasons.
